    REVISED ELECTION TIME TABLE FOR NIGERIAN NATIONAL PETROLEUM COMPANY LIMITED STAFF MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE SOCIETY ABUJA

    Following the engagement with stakeholders and recommendations to the GCEO,
    NNPCL with the letter dated 26th February, 2024 with reference no FCT/ARDS/NNPCL/0022 Find attach draft election timetable spanning over a period of four months for the NNPC Limited Staff Multipurpose Cooperative:

    Month 1:
    MAY
    Week 1-2 Announcement of Election Process
    President sends out official communication to all members announcing
    the commence of the election process
    Weeks 3-4 Formation of Election Committee
    Members interested in serving on the Election Committee
    submit their nominations
    The president reviews nominations and appoints members to
    the Electoral Committee while the congress ratify the
    appointment


    Month 2:
    JUNE
    Week 1-2 Electoral Committee Preparation
    Electoral Committee meets to establish election guideline, rules
    and procedures
    Finalize voter registration process and eligibility criteria clearly
    Week 3-4: Voter Registration
    Members are informed about the voter registration process and
    eligibility requirements
    Voter registration form are made available, and members register
    to vote


    JULY
    Month 3:
    Week 1-2 Call for Candidacy Nomination
    Electoral Committee announces the opening of the candidacy
    nomination period,
    Members interested in running for positions should submit their
    nomination form to the Electoral Committee.


    Week 3-4 Candidate Screening and Campaigning
    Electoral Committee reviews candidate nominations for eligibility
    and conducts screening interviews if necessary
    Approved candidates begin their campaigning activities, including
    the distribution of campaign materials and participation in
    candidate forums.


    AUGUST
    Month 4:
    Week 1-2: Voting Period: involving the presence of Director of Cooperative
    or Representative.
    Electoral Committee Oversees the Voting process, ensuring
    fairness and transparency
    Members cast their yotes either through physical or electronic
    means as determined by the committee.


    Week 3: Voting Counting and Result Announcement by the office of the
    director of Cooperative.
    Electoral Committee Counts the vote and verifies the result in
    conjunction with office of the Director of Cooperatives.
    Result of the election are announced to the members through
    official communication channels.


    Week 4: Annual General Meeting (AGM) and swearing- In Ceremony by the
    Director
    AGM is held to discuss cooperative matters, review financing
    reports, and swear in the newly elected Management Committee
    members take their oath of office and assume their role in
    leading the Cooperative.
    This timetable provides a structured approach to the election process, allowing
    for adequate time for each stage while ensuring transparency and member
    participation. Adjustment can be made as need based on the specific
    circumstances and requirement of the NNPC Limited Staff Multipurpose
    Cooperative.
